I took my sister to one of my favorite birding spots the other day - the Venice Rookery. Shortly after we arrived, I saw these two Great Egret mates sort of interacting with each other around their nest. I’m getting ready to head out soon. Rob is picking me up at 6 a.m. It’s been a long time since I’ve been up this early to go birding. We are hoping to catch the sunrise and first light at the rookery -it takes about 100 minutes to get there.
